Algorithms, the binary system or artificial intelligence… So many computer concepts that are difficult to understand, even for adults. The Colori company is betting on teaching these terms to children from 3 to 8 years old, without a screen. Amélia Matar launched this seemingly impossible challenge in 2018: “It’s important not to put children directly in front of the screens.”

Colori also helps guide young people towards technology, “It is essential to plant small seeds, because only 13% of girls take the digital and computer science option in high school”, specifies Amélia Matar. For her initiative, in November she won the Bold Future Award, a prize awarded by Maison Veuve Clicquot, rewarding accomplished women entrepreneurs. The company works with around a hundred French establishments, schools and leisure centers, offering one-hour after-school workshops. In all, 21 animators crisscross the cities between Lyon, Vichy, Les Sables-d’Olonne …
