The Carinthian state government currently has 36 mandates to be awarded, Peter Kaiser currently has 18 of them. If Kaiser keeps the 18 mandates, nothing will happen. But if he drops to 17 or even 16 mandates, a “House of Karawanken” will play in Carinthia on Sunday night, predicts Haselmayer. “A potential three-way constellation of FPÖ, Team Kärnten and ÖVP could stand against Peter Kaiser. However, that will only work if the Greens or NEOS, or both, do not move into the Carinthian state parliament.” If one of these parties made it into the Carinthian state parliament, Haselmayer believes that this constellation of three does not exist in terms of mandates.
