Combine summer items in winter: that's how it works

Are you still as in love with summer dresses, flowing skirts and stylish shorts as we are? We are gradually exchanging these parts for knitted pieces and thick boots. Does it have to be that way? We say: no way!

The transition from hot temperatures to colorful autumn days came somehow faster and more unexpectedly than usual this year. That is why it is so difficult for us to stow our favorite summer items back in the closet. You know what? We'll just let it be and just keep them on all autumn and winter this year.

Sweater layering

It's the easiest way to wear our favorite summer dress in autumn and winter too. To do this, we simply combine it with a short-cut knitted sweater that we pull over the dress. So that the waist is still emphasized and our figure does not disappear under the layering, we also wear a waist belt. With its help we can adapt the knitted sweater better to the dress and crop it a bit. On warmer autumn days we even wear the look without tights and immediately feel catapulted back into July.

Onion look

In the summer we were crazy about trendy parts for changing diapers. So that we can wear them in the cold, we simply put a long-sleeved shirt underneath – in any color. In this way we create a really cool, new look in combination with rough boots or boots and a stylish jacket.

Unpack the shorts again

Admittedly, making dresses and skirts suitable for autumn and winter is definitely a bit easier than styling our favorite shorts in a way that conforms to the cold. Fortunately, we have tons of fashion inspiration. Fashion queen Annette Weber combines the short jeans culottes with autumn boots and a fluffy teddy coat. Now winter can come!

Around the summer

In order not to completely forget about summer, we now simply build our looks around a summer fashion piece. It can be an airy skirt, cool shorts or just a light blouse. The rest of the outfit then consists of parts that really scream for autumn. For short pieces, we put on overknee boots and a thick jacket so we don't freeze. We also rely on tights – they can be hidden under pants or pimp a look with shorts and skirts.
