The comedian, who is also a columnist on France Inter, published on her Instagram account two photos of a complaint for “rape” that she filed with the Paris prosecutor’s office on April 11 against Seb Mellia. In the caption of her publication, the young woman commented: “Now you know… I’m counting on your professional supporters to take a screenshot and send it to you”.

In reality, the 38-year-old stand-upper, whose real name is Sébastien Mellia, is already targeted by several accusations of sexual violence. The affair began in January 2024, when Florence Mendez, another comedian, revealed that she had collected testimonies from 31 women accusing her of rape, attempted rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment. She then launched the movement #MeTooStandUp by pushing the alleged victims to go to court to file a complaint. Florence Mendez did not fail to comment on Tania Dutel’s Instagram publication, giving her all her support: “Girl. We love you, we admire you, we believe you. WE’RE HERE“.

At the beginning of March, eleven women, three comedians and eight spectators of his one-man shows, also testified to the magazine Teleramapointing out the problematic and violent actions of Seb Mellia committed in 2010 and 2022. They also accuse him, for the most part, of sexual assault or rape.
The comedian targeted by a preliminary investigation
Finally, on May 15, Mediapart revealed that the actor was targeted by a Preliminary investigation. This was opened after a woman filed a complaint of sexual assault against him in November 2019. The news site also collected seven new testimonies from women accusing him in turn of sexual violence.

For the moment, Seb Mellia has not reacted to the announcement of Tania Dutel’s complaint. On the other hand, the former member of the Jamel Comedy Club spoke out on January 22, a few days after Florence Mendez spoke, to deny the accusations against him. “My silence is not a confession. It took me a while to react because I was overwhelmed by what was happening to me, shocked and also devastated.”he wrote on Instagram. “If I may have offended some of my partners in the past, and unintentionally, through inappropriate behavior, I deeply regret it and apologize to them. However, there are limits that I do not have ever crossed and I deny all accusations of rape in any way whatsoever.he added.
