Comment of the day – start of school: “Was there a plan A at all?”


The start of school in Austria is overshadowed by Corona – the fourth corona wave makes it a delicate matter. Science is warned against approaching the subject without sophisticated concepts.

The numbers are worrying: The seven-day incidence is currently highest among 15 to 18-year-olds, and the vaccination rate among children and adolescents is quite low. Education expert Hanno Lorenz is of the opinion that the government did not develop a plan B over the summer. For example, digital lessons would be recommended, but this requires the necessary means and ways.

Our readers see it similarly. Most of them think that those responsible at the top of the government “overslept” over the summer to work on their plans. Many wonder how HPS83whether there was a Plan A at all.
