Each month, Pokémon GO has the right to a Community Day which highlights a Pokémon among all those available in the game. The August one has been unveiled and we invite you to discover it as well as the whole event that revolves around it.
Zigzaton of Galar Pokémon GO: The little raccoon who invites the community
August’s Community Day will highlight Zigzaton in his Galar form. This little being possessing the double-type Normal and Dark will be able to join your team more easily during this event which will take place during the second weekend of the month. In effect, its spawn rate will be increasedbut that’s not all since it will be possible to meet him in his chromatic form more often.
- Date of the event: The Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Raid Battle Bonuses after Community Day: Saturday, August 13, 2022, 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. Once you defeat Galarian Lineon in a four-star Raid Battle, Galarian Zigzaton will begin to spawn within a 300 meter radius of the Arena that hosted the Raid for 30 minutes. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Chromatic!* Be careful though, as Remote Raid Passes cannot be used for these Raids.
Zigzaton of Galar Pokémon GO: Which are its evolutions?
In general, a Community Day allows you to have a creature with one or two evolutions and Zigzaton of Galar is one of those with two stages of evolution unlike its Hoenn form which has only one. This one will thus be able to evolve into Linéon de Galar then into Ixon. Moreover, by making it reach its final form before 7 p.m., the latter will be able to learn an ability exclusive to the event. It is the charged attack Block.
- Trainer Battle: 15 power and guaranteed to increase the user’s defense and lower the opponent’s.
- Arenas and Raids: 20 power
To evolve Galarian Zigzaton into Ixon, you will need 125 Candies.
- Galarian Zigzaton in Galar Lineon: 25 bobnos
- Lineon of Galar in Ixon: 100 candies

Event bonuses and prizes
A Community Day wouldn’t be one without its share of bonuses and gift boxes. We invite you to discover those who will be present during this day in honor of the Pokémon Little Raccoon.
- Incense and Lure Mods activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Pokemon Catch Candy x2
- Chances of receiving XL Candy for Trainers level 31 or higher by capturing Pokémon x 2
- An additional Special Exchange can be made during the event and up to five hours after, for a maximum of three for the day.
- Trades made during the event and up to five hours after it will require 50% less Stardust.
- Capture Stardust x3
- If enough Pokémon are caught using a single Lure Module, a wild Galarian Lineon will appear near the PokéStop where the lure was placed.
There will also be bundles giving you Hyper Balls and other items.
- A free box containing 30 Hyper Balls.
- A Community Day box that will cost 1280 coins.
Special Research “Research Report: Galarian Zigzaton” and Timed Research
As you know, a €0.99 ticket will be available to unlock access to a series of exclusive challenges, but it’s not the only one there will be for this Community Day sincea one-time study will also be active from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will ask you to capture 100 Galarian Zigzatons to get a complete outfit based on Ixon. A pose can also be retrieved via this study.
