Compact, robust and inexpensive: E-folding bike from traditional German manufacturer in Lidl’s daily offer

Are you looking for a compact way to commute or do you want to be mobile on vacation without a car? Then it’s worth buying a folding bike. Compact and foldable bikes have always been popular, and they are now also available in the form of an e-bike with motor support. On June 7, Lidl’s online shop will be offering a model from the German manufacturer Sachsenrad at a very reasonable price.

Important: This daily offer was already available on June 5th, after which Lidl increased the price again to 1,699 euros. That is exactly what is likely to happen this time too. If you are interested, you should act quickly, because other retailers will also charge significantly more than the 799 euros asked by Lidl.

The Sachsenrad F12 e-folding bike has 16-inch alloy wheels and a robust magnesium frame. The Pedelec is not only foldable – it also has an auxiliary wheel so that you can push or pull the bike around the handlebars with one hand without having to carry it.

If you want it to be even more compact, you can also fold the handlebars so that the bike can fit in the trunk, on the bus or on the train. According to the manufacturer, a two-stage telescopic seat post enables comfortable riding for people up to 1.90 meters tall.

Low-maintenance single-speed drive

The Pedelec has a low-maintenance single-speed drive with three support levels. Despite the lack of gears, it should feel like three gears, writes Sachsenrad on its own website. Depending on the riding style, the battery offers sufficient capacity for up to 50 kilometers.

Other features include mechanical disc brakes, rear wheel suspension, mudguards and a lighting system. The e-bike weighs 19.2 kilograms and the permissible total weight is 120 kilograms.

The folding bike from Sachsenrad has a recommended retail price of just under 1,700 euros. The manufacturer is currently charging this price in its own online shop. At Lidl, the price is only 799 euros on June 5th, while other retailers are currently starting at 1,111 euros, but are usually significantly higher.
