“Having found the means to achieve our ambitions in terms of development and growth, we will maintain our attractiveness investment efforts, continue to deploy our digital tools, optimize our distribution channels and our commercial policy while accelerating the our net zero carbon ambitions”, adds Dominique Thillaud.

The turnover of the Ski areas (La Plagne, Les Arcs, Val d’Isère Méribel, etc.) amounted to 392.1 million euros (+11.3%). The number of skier-days, marked by the restriction of travel between the United Kingdom and France at the end of 2021, recorded a fall of 5% over the whole half-year, but the average income per skier-day increased by 15%.

Revenue from Leisure parks (Parc Astérix, Futuroscope, etc.) reached 120.4 million euros (+29.3%) thanks to the success of the Halloween and Christmas periods. This “performance was driven both by an increase in attendance (+10%) and by an increase in expenditure per visitor (+19%)”, according to Compagnie des Alpes.

The Holdings and Supports activity amounted to 28.7 million euros.

According to the Compagnie des Alpes, the spring-summer season “is looking good” both for its leisure parks and for the ski areas. The group “remains nevertheless vigilant in the face of the macroeconomic context which has become more uncertain in recent weeks (impact of inflation, slowdown in growth, increase in charges)”.

It renews its objective of an annual net investment envelope of around 160 million euros but “reserves the possibility of seizing additional opportunities for targeted investments”.
