Compagnie des Alpes: sustained quarterly performance


(AOF) – Compagnie des Alpes published a consolidated turnover of 200.3 million euros for the first quarter of the 2023/24 financial year, down 1% compared to last year at same period. The group displays dynamism in its three businesses. In ski areas and outdoor activities, turnover was stable, compared to an increase of 0.2% for leisure parks and a decline of 14.2% for the Distribution & Hospitality division. However, over the Christmas holiday period, occupancy rates reached around 97%.

On December 21, Compagnie des Alpes announced that it had selected the company Greenyellow for the development of photovoltaic canopies in its amusement parks.

The development of shade structures is intended to be widespread in the car parks of the Compagnie des Alpes leisure parks: Walibi Belgium from 2023, Futuroscope and Walibi Rhône-Alpes from 2025 and Parc Astérix from 2026. This is how , ultimately, nearly 30 GWh which could be produced by photovoltaic installations in its parks, or around 15% of the total electricity consumption of Compagnie des Alpes.

The company also indicates that the attractiveness of the sites will be supported by major events such as the 35th anniversary of Parc Astérix or new structuring developments to come at Bellewaerde, Walibi Rhône-Alpes or even Futuroscope.
