SEGA And Relic Entertainment launched last month Company of Heroes 3, their new WWII real-time strategy game which takes us this time to the Mediterranean front alongside the Resistance. But no question for the developers to stop there.
The studios present today I’Operation Sapphire Jackala major update which will upgrade the game to version 1.1 when it launches tomorrow. It will enhance the gaming experience, balance the gameplayfix bugs, add challenges and introduce a cosmetics system to customize your armythe developers detail all this in video and right here:
Operation Sapphire Jackal arrives with new daily and weekly challenges, to be completed in multiplayer and co-op, as well as various cosmetics and improvements. The challenges ask you, for example, to “Destroy 50 vehicles with anti-tank weapons” or “Gain 50 ranks with Wehrmacht infantry”: even the most seasoned strategists will have to work hard to achieve all of them.
This first major update also fixes various bugs, adjusts gameplay balance and improves overall gameplay comfort. New voiceovers for Ghurka infantry are now available, as is the updated Player Color option Unique to better distinguish allies from enemies. Enjoy audio adjustments, but also notable improvements made to the game aids: it is now easier to understand the powers, units, systems and improvements available. Alongside Operation Sapphire Jackal, the new cosmetic system allows you to customize your army for single and multiplayer modes. Relic offers a balanced mix of unlockables and premium content so you can decide, via the in-game store, how much you want to engage with this post-launch content.
Items can be purchased with War Bonds or Merit. War Bonds are a game-specific currency, only available in War Bond packs, while Merit is earned directly by successfully completing the many challenges offered: Merit allows you to acquire only some of the items available in the store.
