Compiègne: four individuals arrested, suspected of having prostituted and kidnapped a teenager

Three men and a woman were in police custody in Compiègne on Sunday, suspected of “aggravated pimping”, after a 15-year-old girl, kidnapped and prostituted by force according to her, managed to contact the police, learned AFP at the prosecutor’s office. The victim, “15 years old since July 2022, called a friend, who would have called 17 to denounce acts of prostitution and kidnapping”, explained the prosecutor Marie-Céline Lawrysz to AFP, confirming information from the Parisian.

Of the three men implicated, two known to the police

Originally from around Reims, the teenager “placed in a home by a children’s judge in Châlons-en-Champagne for about two years” would have “run away since May”, according to the prosecutor. “She says that she prostituted herself first in Paris, then would have liked to escape her Parisian pimps, and would have been taken in charge by a man who would have taken her to Amiens, where she would have also prostituted herself, before to arrive in Compiègne”, explained Ms Lawrysz.

“She would have been a prostitute for about three weeks in Compiègne. She says that at the start she was prostituting herself of her own free will, then the situation escalated, and she would have been kidnapped”, she continued, specifying that the facts “remained to be clarified”. The three men in question are from Essonne, Seine-Saint-Denis and Hauts-de-Seine, and known, for at least two of them, for acts of violence, drug trafficking or theft .

The teenager denounced “several other people”

The fourth is from Compiègne, and suspected of having “hosted the victim in a Compiègne apartment”. The victim “says that she went to customers” for the passes, she said. Everyone’s involvement “remains to be determined”, she said. But in the cases of pimping on minors, “we are often faced with young girls who are in a difficult psychological situation or in financial precariousness. earn money”.

The respondents may have acted “by pure opportunity”, by “taking advantage of his weakness”. Arrested on Saturday around 3:30 p.m., they could remain in custody for 96 hours. The teenager also “denounced several other people”.
