Thursday, April 28, France 2 will broadcast an episode of Complément d’Enquête devoted to the sexual controversy in which Patrick Poivre d’Arvor finds himself. Did the latter testify in the report?
Thursday April 28, 2022, France 2 will air a new episode of Further Investigation, in which viewers will be able to find out more about the case involving Patrick Poivre d’Arvor. Indeed, since February 2021, the former presenter of 20 hours of TF1 is at the heart of a sex scandal. 25 women testified against him; among them, 17 complained including 8 for rape. Although the latter have remained silent for a long time, some have agreed to be questioned by journalists from Further Investigationwho tried to see more clearly in this controversy.
But did the main interested party testify in this report? To answer this question, Tristan Waleckx, presenter of Further Investigation was the guest of Buzz-TV for TVMagazinethis Wednesday, April 27. “We had lots of exchanges, lots of contacts, diverse and varied. We even spoke to each other directly. He does not want to talk”, he begins by declaring, thus explaining that the former presenter of the 20 hours of TF1 refused to testify in the report of France 2.
Tristan Waleckx: “We spent hours and hours trying to convince him”
According to Tristan Waleckx, this absence would be justified out of fear of repeating what he had done in the only interview he gave to journalists : “He has spoken publicly only once since the start of this affair: it was with our colleagues from Daily, a year ago where he did an interview which turned out to be catastrophic since it triggered an avalanche of testimonies so I think he decided to remain as discreet as possible”. And it’s not for lack of having tried to question him, as the journalist mentions : “We want to do the contradictory. We oversold him, we spent hours and hours trying to convince him. Obviously, he does not want to talk. And it is always harmful because we still believe that he we have to offer people to let them speak”. The report on PPDA is to be found tomorrow, from 11:00 p.m. on France 2.
