The Ministry of Economics writes: “All owners of buildings with gas heating must carry out a heating check in the next two years. It makes sense to link the check to appointments that take place anyway, such as sweeping and checking activities or regular heating maintenance”.
Important, in addition to the check, you are also obliged to have optimizations carried out. This is to ensure that more gas heaters work more efficiently. The heating checks should be carried out by specialists, such as heating engineers, chimney sweeps or energy consultants.
According to the regulation, the measures must be implemented by September 15, 2024 at the latest. The owners of the gas heating have to become active. The costs for this are difficult to quantify, but a simple check without additional measures should be around 100 to 150 euros costs. Additional costs are then incurred for the optimizations, such as the insulation of pipelines.
