Frank Zander had to be unexpectedly taken to hospital. Check-ups are currently underway to make a diagnosis.

Great concern for the cult singer Frank Zander (81): He had to be taken to the Martin Luther Hospital in Berlin in an ambulance on Monday. His son Marcus Zander (55) initially confirmed this in the “BZ”. After a television program on December 1st and a previous corona infection, his father’s physical condition became “worse day by day”. He barely got out of bed in the morning and hardly had any appetite. His family doctor then pulled the ripcord and urgently recommended that Frank Zander be taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

Frank Zander also gave the newspaper a short statement from his sickbed: “That’s a lot of crap. I could think of something better than having to go to the clinic before my Christmas party for the needy and homeless.” But there was no other way: “I was getting weaker and weaker. And now I’m being completely checked out here, the doctors are all extremely competent. I’m in the very best hands here.”

Can’t Frank Zander attend his Christmas party for the needy?

The “Here Comes Kurt” singer is now receiving infusions with build-up preparations and can already feel that things are getting a little better again. Initial checks would be encouraging, but his inflammation levels were too high. His son made it clear that they had to hope “day by day” that his father would regain his strength and that a diagnosis could be made: “Then therapy can begin. Of course, he shouldn’t recover too quickly afterwards to expect too much.”

Preparations are currently underway for the legendary Christmas goose dinner for the homeless and needy, which he is organizing in Berlin for the 29th time this year and is scheduled to take place in two weeks, on December 22nd. His son has already indicated that the festival could possibly take place this year without Frank Zander: “It is not certain that he will be fit again by the time of the celebration.”
