The BossHoss reacted to the postponement of the "Give Live A Chance" concert in Düsseldorf with sadness, understanding and hope.
It was planned as the comeback of live music. But the previously criticized event "Give Live A Chance", at which 13,000 people were supposed to meet in the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf on September 4th, was canceled again due to the rising corona numbers and postponed to late autumn. The rockers from The BossHoss ("Black Is Beautiful") should also have appeared at the event and are accordingly disappointed by the short-term cancellation on their official Instagram account.
The whole band would have been all too happy – "with joy and without paying a fee" – together with their crew "to set an example for the live industry". "A sign or wake-up call to politics and society that so many jobs depend on live events. We believe that larger concerts or events can also be implemented in accordance with protective measures and a hygiene concept."
Postponed and not canceled
At the same time, Sascha Vollmer (48), Alec Völkel (48) and Co. also emphasize "that we fully understand the background to the rejection." Instead of despairing, they now hope "that the situation will relax as soon as possible, so that one can start another attempt at a new date to give the live concerts a chance!"
Five music acts were to appear at the 150-minute long event on September 4th, and comedian Michael Mittermeier (54) was planned as a special guest. The Canadian Bryan Adams (60) was invited for international flair, Sarah Connor (40), Joris (30) and Rea Garvey (47) were also part of the line-up.
