Lugano – Servette 0:2
8 days before the cup final between Lugano and Servette, the final round of the Championship Group in Lugano was the dress rehearsal for the duel in Wankdorf. The Genevans made the better impression and won 2-0 thanks to their greater efficiency.
Jérémy Guillemenot was responsible for both goals. He put the Grenats in the lead in the 4th minute after an exemplary pass from Miroslav Stevanovic. 8 minutes after the break, the 26-year-old then made the decision from a tight angle.
St. Gallen – FC Zurich 1:2
In St. Gallen, Chadrac Akolo scored his 14th goal of the season in the 16th minute after an assist from Christian Witzig, drawing level with top scorers Zan Celar of Lugano and Kevin Carlos of Yverdon-Sport, who have all scored 14 goals in the season just ended.
FCZ reacted quickly and equalized 8 minutes later with a deflected shot from Nils Reichmuth. Lawrence-Ati Zigi in the St. Gallen goal just failed to clear the ball from the line. Shortly before half-time, he made another very unfortunate impression. The goalie underestimated the onrushing Antonio Marchesano and he blocked the planned long ball directly into the goal.
Since the score remained 2-1 in the second half, FCZ successfully maintained fourth place against St. Gallen. The two teams will enter the second qualifying round for the Conference League together next season.
YB – Winterthur 3:0
The Young Boys were crowned champions last week, and they won against Winterthur. After a goalless first half, the Bernese were awarded a penalty shortly after the break. Fabian Lustenberger played in his farewell game and scored confidently.
In the 69th minute, Jaouen Hadjam scored to make it 2-0 after a great combination. In injury time, Sylvère Ganvoula scored the final goal after a free kick. The champions ended the season with another win and were able to lift the trophy with a good feeling.
