Concord: A big change evident at Firewalk Studios

There are loads of failures in the video game industry, everyone still has the catastrophic one in mind The Day Beforebut the case of Concord is striking: it was a production of Sonywhich was cancelled just a week after its launch. It was also the first game of Firewalk Studioswhich is currently unknown.

At the moment, it is difficult to know what will become of the studio and to imagine Concord return to free-to-play or offered in the PlayStation Plus, the 150 employees of Firewalk Studios remain in expectationsome have left the ship on their own, layoffs are obviously feared, but there is already a big change internally. As reported Kotakuciting several anonymous sources, Game director Ryan Ellis will no longer hold that position at Firewalk Studioshe will now have a supporting role only. Ryan Ellis was, as a reminder, the creative director of Destiny 2before leaving Bungie in 2017 to achieve Concordwhich clearly will not have had the same success. A former developer of the hero shooter states:

Ryan believed deeply in this project and its ability to bring players together through the joy it brings. While some things could have been done differently throughout development… he is a kind and caring man.

The future of Firewalk Studios is uncertain, but in any case, Ryan Ellis Won’t Direct Studio’s Next Game (If There Is One). You can find Destiny 2 and its extensions on Gamesplanet.
