Confinement: the "too complex" travel certificate replaced by two simplified versions: Current Woman The MAG

21 million French people have been confined again since Saturday, March 20, 2021. A new measure "light" and present in sixteen departments of Ile-de-France, Hauts-de-France, Alpes-Maritimes, Seine-Maritime and Eure in accordance with the announcements made by Prime Minister Jean Castex on Thursday, March 18. With this third local confinement, the citizens concerned have seen the return of the famous exceptional travel certificate. But the 2021 version of this pass was not very convincing. Two pages long, it presents no less than fifteen different patterns. A real puzzle! Internet users, furious, noted on social networks that the differences between trips relating to the curfew and those relating to confinement were not really clear. "I grant you, the certificate is complex", even confided the spokeswoman for the Ministry of the Interior on Saturday on BFMTV. So complex that at midday, Place Beauvau decided on a new precept.

The end of the certificate for journeys during the day?

Thus, as the Ministry of the Interior confirmed on Saturday to our colleagues from France Info, the rules concerning the exceptional travel certificate will change. "Faced with this misunderstanding, the government decided to simplify the reason for travel", said the continuous news channel of the public service. "Only a proof of address proving that you are within a radius of 10 kilometers from your home will allow you to leave". A relaxation which a priori will no longer require certification during the day. On the other hand, the certificate remains valid for travel that will take place during the curfew period, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.. Available online on the website of the Ministry of the Interior, it can also be generated from the TousAntiCovid application, which can be installed on all smartphones.

Update, Saturday March 20, 2021, 3:30 p.m .: Matignon announces in a press release the establishment of two certificates at the "simplified presentation" : "The certificates posted on the website of the Ministry of the Interior will henceforth distinguish two distinct situations. The certificate applicable in the evening and at night (between 7 p.m. in the evening and 6 a.m.) throughout the national territory, as a curfew; the certificate applicable during the day (between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the evening) in the only 16 departments subject to reinforced measures ".
