Congress of hunters: not invited, Yannick Jadot denounces his rejection of the event

This Tuesday, several presidential candidates present their program to the Congress of the National Federation of Hunters. However, not all of them were invited. This is the case of Yannick Jadot, who regretted not having been invited.

Present on France Inter, the environmental candidate regretted his eviction from the event, in favor of candidates opposed to his political opinions. “They prefer to invite Eric Zemmour and Marine Le Pen than an ecologist, that says a lot about the perspective,” he said.

Wanting to denounce hunting accidents, Yannick Jadot defends “the ban on hunting on weekends and during school holidays so that families can enjoy nature in safety”. “If the hunters don’t want to hear that, it’s a shame,” he said.

A choice assumed by the Federation

While the main interested party denounced the fact of not having been invited, Thierry Coste, political adviser to the National Federation of Hunters, “completely assumed” this absence.

The latter indicated that he did not want to “be hypocritical” by inviting the environmental candidate, credited with 5% of voting intentions according to the latest OpinionWay barometer for CNEWS.

“Someone who constantly spits on you without ever having spoken to you, we say all the same, what’s the point of offering him a platform when what interests us is to talk about the substance, it’s not not to talk about the controversies”, he added to justify the decision of the National Federation of Hunters.
