Connected home: Sonos brings a musical touch to Aqara scenarios

If the new Matter standard, which is gradually being put in place, promises us that we will no longer have to juggle between different applications in the future, certain brands are taking the lead in creating bridges between connected objects from different manufacturers. Aqara and Sonos have just announced such a partnership.

In a press release, Aqara indicates that Sonos speakers can now integrate its ecosystem. For example, it will be possible to control the playback of tracks or the audio volume with the very original Cube T1 Pro from Aqara. It will also allow the user to trigger the music when performing certain scenarios.

Not all Sonos models are affected, but there are several speakers, sound bars or home theater systems, here is the complete list:

An infinity of scenarios to imagine

If you have compatible devices, the configuration takes place in the Aqara application, in the section of third-party authorizations in order to give it access to the Sonos speakers in the house. They then appear in the list of accessories. From there, the user has the option of setting up an infinite number of scenarios depending on the type of Aqara connected object that he owns.
