Germans love delicious vanilla ice cream not only in summer. It is all the more frightening that some of the more expensive brands from the supermarket are particularly tricky in their production. Ice cream does need a certain amount of air as an ingredient so that the ice cream is nice and creamy instead of rock hard, but too much of it quickly turns the ice pack into a cheat box. The mean thing: Some of the more expensive ice cream brands in particular "pump" their ice cream with up to 50 percent air.
