Since Tuesday, the E.Leclerc brand has been recalling mortadella slices sold in batches in its stores throughout France, due to a risk of the presence of listeria.
As indicated by the government website ReminderConsoit’s about the ” Mortadella Bologna IGP sold in a 100g tray from the Atelier Charcuterie Tradizioni D’Italia brand. The recalled batches were distributed between April 19 and May 10. The expiry date is May 12.
The barcode is as follows: 3664335100049 and the batch number: 213097.
“Only products bearing the additional code 01 following the barcode are affected by the recall”, specifies RappelConso.
Listeria risk
It is strongly advised not to consume this batch of mortadella and to bring it back to the store for a refund.
“People who have consumed the ‘products’ mentioned above and who have fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, are invited to consult their doctor, notifying him of this consumption”, indicates RappelConso. Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly “should be particularly alert to these symptoms”. Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks.
