Control: 3 million sales and a nice commercial success for Remedy’s game

Launched in 2019 on computers and home consoles of the time, then ported to Switch in version clouds and on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, Control will have been an excellent surprise. The title of RemedyEntertainment (Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quantum Break) met with real critical success thanks to its good ideas for gameplay and storytelling.

And commercially too, control is a success. Digital Bros.the parent company of 505 Games which publishes the game, reveals in its latest financial statement that Control has sold three million copies and generated 92 million euros in revenue. The firm is confident about the potential of the franchise and has therefore granted 50 million euros budget to Remedy to develop Control 2while the first part had cost only 30 million.

Digital Bros. also briefly mentions THE Project Condor, spin off cooperative multiplayer PvE of Control, which will be entitled to a budget of 25 million euros for its development.
