What exactly is the JBL GO 3?
The JBL GO 3 portable speaker is the third iteration of JBL’s ultra-compact speakers. It has a design that takes up that of the previous versions, with nevertheless some small modifications. Its shapes are more rounded and its size a little smaller. JBL purifies its speaker as much as possible, with only three buttons on the upper facade. Two buttons for volume and one for playback. This new version of the JBL GO unfortunately loses its jack input as well as its microphone function. Fans of the hands-free kit function will perhaps turn more to the previous models.
The GO 3 works via Bluetooth, from your mobile phone, your tablet or a computer. Count about five hours of battery life at normal volume. Depending on the volume, the autonomy can of course vary. If listening at maximum volume, count a reduced autonomy of half. The GO 3 is also waterproof and dustproof.
Is this JBL GO 3 portable speaker a good deal?
At less than €30, the GO 3 is a bargain. Besides its simple and compact design, the sound quality of this JBL is on point. The ultra-compact speaker delivers excellent sound performance. JBL revamps the audio of its GO range and offers deeper bass and better bass reproduction. The precision and sound definition are clean, despite some saturation at times.
For indoor listening, the JBL GO 3 does an honest job with good sound amplitude. Outdoors, do not expect to cover a large area, even if it remains perfectly audible. Too bad the Go 3 is not compatible with the portable JBL application. Note that its design and ease of handling make it perfect for children.
