A man was beaten up by mistake, in Ain, on July 26, 2022. Completely paranoid, his neighbor thought he was masturbating in the common areas.
Cock-and-bull story. On July 26, 2022, in a building in the peaceful town of Ornex, in Ain, a man claims to have been violently attacked by his neighbor. The latter would have broken down the door of the victim’s home, threatening him with a knife. In his complaint, the allegedly abused man claims to have been severely beaten, reports the daily Progress. Arrested and placed in detention at the end of his police custody, the defendant denies the facts en bloc.
On September 26, he appeared before the Bourg-en-Bresse criminal court. Faced with the magistrates, he only admitted having carried “two slaps and a kick”, according to the court report quoted by the local newspaper. The alleged assailant therefore does not admit having threatened his neighbor with a knife let alone break into his home. “When I caught him behind my door, I hit him. He ran away and fell against the wall”did he declare.
The defendant believed in his theory hard as iron
The reason that led him to attack his next door neighbor is tinged with paranoia. The 38-year-old firmly believes that he was spied on by the latter and worse still, thathe was masturbating in the common areas of the building. That’s why he took it out on him and beat him up. Progress states that the victim had “the shoe brand identified on the victim’s forehead, corresponding to the brand of the pair of sneakers worn by the suspect”. Presumably, the victim was an imaginary exhibitionist. On August 20, a very real exhibitionist this time, a thirty-year-old took refuge on the roof of a building in Besançon to masturbate in front of everyone.
