Cora Schumacher has left the jungle camp. The surprising news even led to technical problems at RTL+.

Cora Schumacher (47), ex-wife of Formula One star Ralf Schumacher (48), surprisingly left the RTL jungle camp “of her own request” on day three. RTL announced this in the Sunday edition of “I’m a star – get me out of here!” (January 21st). Further details about their move “shortly before the third live show” will follow in the upcoming broadcast on Monday (January 22nd).

“Actually well beaten”

“I didn’t see it coming,” explained Sonja Zietlow in an RTL interview after the live broadcast. “I thought she actually did well. I wish she hadn’t necessarily talked about Ralf. That would have suited her better. But otherwise I think it’s a shame because I think she gained a few fans.” The reigning jungle queen Djamila Rowe left a crying emoji under the post with the interview excerpt. Another post Ex-jungle camper Linda Nobat (29) also commented on the excerpt with a sad emoji and the comment: “My favorite.”

Schumacher’s companion in Australia, her best friend Jörg Kunze (41), showed up after the announcement of her departure in an interview with RTL just as surprised as the fans: “I don’t even know what to say, I’m totally shocked. I think it’s a shame for her, for whatever reason she’s out now. I can imagine that Lucy’s story she also touched it herself. […] Maybe there’s something else health-wise.”

In the first episodes of “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” Schumacher not only opened up about her marriage to Ralf Schumacher, but also about an alleged affair with Oliver Pocher (45). When asked whether Schumacher was thinking about what Germany was talking about, Kunze replied: “I think so. We know what she said. I think it’s in her head, she’s a bit into it too Control freak, she can’t control what’s happening outside. She might feel like she’s no longer in control.” The first thing he wants to do with Schumacher is eat something delicious, drink a little wine and talk about the many things that have happened.

RTL+ overloaded

For many fans, however, speculation about the surprising departure on Sunday evening faded into the background. The regular jungle camp program only ran until 9 p.m. due to an NFL broadcast on linear TV. Afterwards, “The Hour After” should be available for streaming on RTL+. But apparently too many fans wanted to see the debriefing with Olivia Jones (54) and Angela Finger-Erben (43). The RTL+ page was no longer available on Sunday evening. “We know that there are currently problems at RTL+. We’re sorry about that. We’re already working on a solution,” the broadcaster explained on Instagram.

In a statement It also said: “Due to an extremely high level of simultaneous usage of RTL+, several systems were overloaded despite all the preparations. We are working at full speed to fix the problem and apologize to all IBES and NFL fans and just a little more Patience.”
