Core Keeper: A Beginner’s Guide and Tips to Get Started

In Core Keeper, you find yourself immersed and stuck in an enigmatic cave, filled with resources of all kinds, but also particularly dangerous threats. This is why it is important to get your adventure off to a good start, to immediately understand what the keys are and the things to master. That’s why we’re giving you some tips, among many others, so that you can familiarize yourself a little faster with this game of survival, exploration and crafting.

Core Keeper Beginner’s Guide

Character creation

The first thing you will need to do when you launch your first part of Core Keeper is character creation. If you will be able to choose the physical features and his clothes, you will also be able to select a background, a story. This will be important, since depending on what you choose, you can obtain various bonuses. Therefore, remember to consult them all, to choose the bonuses that suit you the most.

Gather wood (wood)

Once in the cave, you will have almost no information or help. You will face four buildings, without energy. The objective will therefore be to solve this mystery, which is in fact the plot of Core Keeper. Therefore, in the first minutes of the game, you will have to understand how to start your journey. First of all, you will have to enlighten yourself. Harvest wood, breaking the roots you find in front of you.

After collecting a number of them, you will be able to create torches, to illuminate your place of residence, but also the different paths you will take. Do not hesitate to abuse it. The other tool to craft imperatively is a pickaxe (with wood). It will allow you to explore the surroundings more easily and find much more interesting resources.

Craft a workbench

Then, when you have ventured slightly into the caves, and you have found copper (cooper in English version), you will be able to obtain improvements for certain things, and make new ones. In particular, you will need to equip yourself with a workbench, in order to have access to other things.

You will be able to create a pickaxe, a shovel, a sword and a copper hoe, but also a lantern to equip on your free hand, and a watering can. You will also have access to a foundry and a cooking station, to smelt your metals and cook dishes, much more interesting level boost than the food collected as is on the ground.

Make a vegetable garden

Thanks to the hoe and the watering can that you will be able to obtain quite quickly, you will be able to make a vegetable garden. This one is particularly useful, since you can plant the seeds obtained during your small excursions, and thus ensure that you never run out of food. We also advise you to make mixtures, thanks to the cooking station, to obtain very interesting consumables. You can also plant roots, to get even more.

Do not forget to water your plantations after planting a seed, so that they grow.

make a bed

As in Minecraft, the bed is useful since it is a respawn point. If you get killed, especially while fighting one of the bosses, you’ll be happy to respawn in your bed. However, he has other interests. since a nap in bed will allow you to recover your HP, which will save you from using food if you run out. You can therefore build advanced bases, if you go exploring far enough from your initial base, by installing a bed there, allowing you to have a reappearance point, just in case.

play together

The last little trick is not really one. Playing with several people makes the game easier, in the sense that you can divide up the tasks and therefore progress more easily. The adventure is also more pleasant being together, but Core Keeper is fully playable solo.
