Just in time for Christmas, Mick Schumacher opens his private photo album and shares a family snapshot under the decorated Christmas tree – a rare glimpse into the family home.

The family of racing legend Michael Schumacher, 53, lives a very secluded life. Only rarely do son Mick, 23, daughter Gina, 25, and mother Corinna Schumacher, 53, give an insight into their private lives. For Christmas 2022, however, they make an exception and post a family photo of the three of them on Instagram.

Corinna Schumacher, Mick and Gina send Merry Christmas greetings

Mick Schumacher has taken a seat next to his sister on the cream-colored couch. He is wearing a matching wool sweater with a white shirt and black pants. Gina has chosen a silk shirt with a striking graphic print and wears trendy black Chanel slippers. Mother Corinna comes all in black. The Schumachers are not only surrounded by a Christmas tree. A total of three trees light up the living room.

Jean Todt on Schumacher’s condition: “Michael is still present”

It’s no surprise that Michael Schumacher isn’t showing up. Little has been known about the health of the Formula 1 legend since his serious skiing accident in December 2013. The seven-time world champion has not been seen in public since then. From time to time, however, private details leak out. In November 2022, for example, his close friend and ex-Formula 1 team boss Jean Todt, 76, said in the documentary “La Method” on the French pay-TV channel “Canal+”: “Michael is still present in my life and will that will always remain, no matter what the situation. The question today is how to be well together and how to accompany him and the family.”

Tears come to her eyes at the NRW award ceremony

Son Mick Schumacher continues his father’s legacy. He is also successful as a Formula 1 driver and recently announced on Instagram that he had found a new racing team. From the coming season, Mick will be under contract as a reserve driver at Mercedes. He will play an “important role” in the further development of the vehicle, it said in a Formula 1 statement.
