Now this idea was fatal to her. Cornelia Poletto received an advertisement and is to pay a fine of 4,000 euros.
Breach of Containment Ordinance
But what had happened? As "picture" describes, several guests with drinks and food should have sat on the benches in front of Poletto's restaurant last Saturday afternoon (April 4). However, according to the "Ordinance to curb the spread of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2", this is exactly what has been prohibited in Hamburg since April 2 and should have been prevented by Cornelia Poletto's employees. As stated in paragraph 13, "the operation of restaurants within the meaning of the Restaurant Act is prohibited. This also applies to restaurants and establishments in which meals are handed over for consumption on the spot."
The police promptly moved in and wrote an administrative offense report against Poletto's restaurant. The prominent cook was not there.
Cornelia Poletto is not aware of any wrongdoing
The management of Cornelia Poletto told GALA that the restaurateur had not yet been served, but the Hamburg Police Department confirmed the misdemeanor report: "This happens by post, so it can take a few days. But the ad is available. "
But what is Cornelia Poletto doing now? The catalog of fines provides for a fine of 4,000 euros. However, it is not yet clear whether this high fine will actually result. "I will clarify this as soon as possible – if necessary also with a lawyer, because I am not aware of any wrongdoing," Poletto told "Bild".
At least the star cook can't go through this police operation again. The benches in front of their restaurant have now been cordoned off, so that guests don't even have the opportunity to make themselves comfortable there.
