Corona crisis: How the celebrities keep fit

Keeping fit in the corona crisis: how do celebrities actually do that? Some have shared their workouts via Instagram, which (for the most part) are very easy to do at home. From simple exercises without equipment to utensils such as supermarket shopping – the celebrity women are really creative with their home workouts.

For the middle of the body

Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger (41) keeps fit with her boyfriend, former Scottish national rugby player Thom Evans (35). The two show a fast, effective core workout. But they don't stop at a funny dance routine either.

The former "Bachelorette" Monica Meier-Ivancan (42) is currently completing a 30-day plank challenge and invites her followers to participate. Plotting is carried out every day, the time span is extended daily. Planks are used to train several muscles at the same time: the middle of the body, the shoulders and the thighs. You also improve your overall posture.

Belly, legs, buttocks

Alessandra Meyer-Wölden (37) recently put together a "glute workout", "that both beginners and advanced players can participate," as she writes on Instagram. The focus is on the stomach, legs and buttocks. The only thing you need to imitate: a resistance band. "If you don't have tapes at home, (…) just use your body weight," the mother of five continues. She recommends: "3-5 runs with 15-20 repetitions per exercise and per leg, depending on your fitness level".

Cathy Hummels (32) teamed up with Barre trainer Tanja Krodel to perform a Barre workout for a different part of the body every day. Barre is a full body workout, a mix of ballet, gymnastics, yoga and pilates. Hummels calls the most recent contribution "Barre Cardio BURN OUT". She promises: "Just raise your pulse and step on the gas? Then you are right with this Barre Burn".

Torso and arms

German blogger Caro Daur (25) trains her upper body – without any equipment. The workout includes six exercises, each of which is carried out for 40 seconds. After each exercise there is a pause of 20 seconds. A total of three rounds are planned.

In the corona crisis, fashion designer Victoria Beckham (45) adheres to videos sent to her by her fitness trainer Tracy Anderson (45), with whom Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston and Co. also work. Her latest post shows how Beckham gets her toned, slim arms. Tracy Anderson first shows exercises without aids before reaching for small weights and a towel.

RTL presenter Katja Burkard (54), meanwhile, shifts her workout into nature and shows how you can train your arm muscles with the help of a park bench during a walk or while jogging.

Full body training

Ayda Field (40), the wife of singer Robbie Williams (46), uses everyday kitchen items and groceries in her new Instagram series "Supermarket Sweat". With wine bottles as dumbbells or pots as weight, she shows a full-body workout that also makes you smile.
