After ProSieben and Sat.1 reacted to the tightened nationwide corona measures on Thursday (October 29), the RTL Germany media group announced on Friday (October 30) that "as in the spring with all productions" there was no Studio audience. "The last few months have proven that everyone has to stick together in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus. Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland also wants to make its contribution here," said the broadcaster.

It goes on to say: "In order to protect the health of all people involved in the shoot, all productions will continue to take place in compliance with the strictest distance and hygiene rules – in order to be able to offer the audience the good entertainment they are used to, especially in these difficult times. # common against corona ".

As early as spring of this year, at the beginning of the pandemic, the live shows of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" and "Let's Dance" took place without a studio audience.
