Corona current: chaos! Schools & day care centers closed

What impact will the corona virus have on our lives? It is now clear that it has an impact – and it is getting bigger. However, what is still unclear is which regulation applies where? Corona chaos has broken out in Germany – hardly anyone knows what is taking place and which facilities have been closed.

Why is there such a corona chaos?

Background of the confusing situation: In Germany it is not decided centrally how we deal with the spread of the virus. Rather, local health authorities, i.e. around 400 local authorities, decide. This has its advantages, for example that it can assess the situation on site well. One disadvantage, however: Corona chaos arises – hardly anyone can see through it.

In some cities, schools and daycare centers are closed, in others the business continues. A similar picture in football games (some were canceled, some run without spectators) and in German companies (some send their employees to their home office, others do not). Germany under control of Corona – a patchwork quilt!

How can I get information?

There are still no central decisions and information. Therefore, if in doubt, you should try to inquire on site. Most organizers post cancellations and closings on their websites or on social media.

Experts have a clear recommendation

The inconsistent approach to the virus means that many citizens are unsure: should I stay at home now? Should I cancel appointments? Because the federal government cannot make any regulations, politicians are currently only appealing to make responsible decisions.

Virologists, statisticians and other experts are becoming clearer. They say: We should all stay at home as much as possible to stop the virus from spreading. This is the only way to prevent us from getting conditions like in Italy and thus overwhelming our healthcare system and the medical community.

In the meantime, a private initiative has been founded that calls "Stay the Fuck Home" to take responsibility and put yourself in quarantine.
