Corona current: rules can be relaxed after Easter holidays

When can we finally live normally again, see our families and friends, go to the office, pursue hobbies? These questions move a lot of people in the middle of the corona crisis. For Germany, Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn (CDU) is now cautiously hoping that the corona restrictions will be relaxed after the Easter holidays.

Jens Spahn told Handelsblatt that there was a "positive trend" in infection numbers. But this still has to "steady", Spahn said. The prerequisite for the first step back to normal is that people stick to contact barriers and everyday restrictions even over the Easter holidays.

Step back to normal

If the infection numbers continue to develop positively, the federal government will work together with the heads of government of the federal states "can talk about a gradual return to normality after the Easter holidays"said Spahn.

The far-reaching restriction of fundamental rights in a liberal constitutional state "can only work as long as it is understood and accepted". Therefore, according to Spahn, it is important not only to justify the action well, but also "to show a perspective".

However, it is also clear that it will take even longer before major events, such as football games with spectators, will be possible again.

Spahn also outlines a gradual revival of the economy. The condition for this is "that the factory or business can be organized safely for employees and customers". Provided that it is ensured that the hygiene or distance rain can be adhered to, it would be easier for companies or industries to return to everyday life.

The Robert Koch Institute for Germany currently has 108,202 cases of Covid 19 and 2,107 deaths (as of April 9, 2020, 00:00).
