Long-term coronavirus consequences make life hell for many people, even after they have actually become "healthy" again. Doctors often find it difficult to associate the symptoms with the infection that has been overcome.

"Most illnesses are completely harmless." Many of us still have this sentence in the back of our minds as a glimmer of hope. Yes, an infection with Covid-19 is very unpleasant – but it is supposedly only life-threatening for older people and patients with previous illnesses. That doesn't make things more harmless – but if I'm not one of those groups, I can at least feel a little better, right?

Long-term coronavirus consequences: Complaints nobody talks about

Unfortunately no: First of all, a young age is no protection against a serious course of the disease, because terribly there are even children who have died of Covid-19. And secondly, a "survived" infection with the coronavirus is just the beginning of their problems for many people. Those affected tell of shortness of breath and difficulty concentrating, which still overshadow their lives months later – and are often only associated with their illness by their doctors very late. In the video, a person affected tells how much her life is still affected by her infection with the virus in the past year.
