When using the Corona warning app, which has been downloaded more than 25 million times, problems can currently occur on Android smartphones.

Some users report on social media that the German Corona warning app is currently no longer working properly and a risk check has failed. The developers explain in the app's blog that the problem could currently occur on Android smartphones. It is "in some cases not possible to carry out a key comparison".

This is due to the "Exposure Notification Framework under the Google smartphone operating system", which serves as an interface. The Internet giant has already been "informed about the problem and both sides are working together under high pressure to solve the problem".

The application has now been downloaded more than 25 million times, such as the Federal Ministry of Health and the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) recently communicated. 6.9 million test results have been submitted so far, with about 191,000 positive results shared. More than half of the downloads were made via the Google Play Store.
