Corona warning app: Around 300 infections have already been reported

14.6 million people in Germany use the Corona warning app. Jens Spahn has now revealed that around 300 infections have been reported.

The corona warning app seems to be gaining more and more ground: Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (40, CDU) said in an interview with the news magazine "Der Spiegel" that it is assumed that around 300 Covid-19 infections will occur via the app were reported. "This is the number of encryption keys that the hotline issued to warn others," said Spahn. One knows nothing more for data protection reasons.

As the Robert Koch Institute currently reports, the app has been downloaded around 14.6 million times on smartphones. That corresponds to just over 17 percent of the citizens of Germany. The federal government's Corona Warning app has been in use for around two weeks. According to independent experts, the app should be secure. It is hoped that the chain of infection will be broken more quickly.
