Corona warning app: Easier to provide proof of vaccination
The Robert Koch Institute, Deutsche Telekom and SAP have jointly published a new version of the Corona warning app. This is now available for Android and iOS. The focus of the update is the ability to directly to show that they have been vaccinated, recovered or tested negative when purchasing a ticket. If the organizer provides such an offer, a QR code can be scanned directly via the Corona warning app when purchasing an event ticket. Evidence on site then no longer has to be provided, which saves time in the queue.
When buying tickets via smartphone, the required QR code as a screenshot saved and then uploaded to the Corona warning app. To do this, the QR code scanner is also opened and then “Open file” is selected.

Corona warning app: Encrypted transmission of tests and evidence
In the announcement of the new function, it is pointed out that the Corona-Warn-App Encrypted vaccination records and test results transmitted to the respective validation service. The rules of the event (3G, 2G, 2G Plus) are automatically compared with the user’s certificates; the certificates are not stored on external servers.
In addition, version 2.15 now includes detailed recommendations for action ready in case there has been an increased risk encounter. Another new feature is that certificates for a maximum of 20 people can only be saved in the Corona-Warn-App (source: Corona-Warn-App).
