Joe Biden is unlikely to be at the coronation of King Charles III. to be present. Instead, Jill Biden is expected there.
US President Joe Biden (80) will most likely not attend the coronation of King Charles III himself. (74) in London on May 6th. As unanimously reported by the British media, a source familiar with the plans revealed this. Instead, First Lady Jill Biden (71) and Vice President Kamala Harris (58) are expected on site. Nothing is known about the exact reasons. However, British officials see no affront in the president’s possible non-attendance: Never in history has a US president been present at a British coronation.
As the newspaper “Daily Telegraph” also reports, the British Ambassador to the USA, Karen Pierce (63), is currently in talks with representatives of Buckingham Palace and the White House about the US delegation to Charles’s coronation . Details of the decisions will be announced in the coming weeks.
