BRUSSELS, December 20 (Reuters) – The European Commission on Monday authorized the use within the European Union of the COVID-19 vaccine from the American biotech Novavax.

The move follows the green light given earlier today by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) to Nuvaxovid, the fifth vaccine authorized for adults in Europe.
