Coronavirus in France: the results of this Friday, January 21

CONTAMINATIONS

This Friday, January 21, 400,851 contaminations were recorded in 24 hours.

HOSPITALIZATIONS

In the hospital, the number of Covid patients was 28,457 on Tuesday, against 27,931 yesterday Thursday. 2,623 new patients have been admitted in the past 24 hours.

Critical care services had 3,792 Covid-19 patients on Wednesday (with 289 new entries), compared to 3,842 on Thursday.

DEATHS

In 24 hours, 235 people succumbed to Covid-19 in hospital, bringing the total death toll to 128,347 (hospitals and nursing homes included) since the start of the epidemic.

THE VACCINATION

On the vaccination side, more than 53.7 million people received at least one injection, i.e. 80.1% of the total population and 92.9% of the eligible population (+12 years). 52.3 million French people have a complete vaccination schedule, i.e. 78.1% of the total population and 90.7% of the eligible population.
