Contamination
This Wednesday, January 12, 361,719 new cases were registered. That’s 40,000 more than seven days ago.
Hospitalizations
At the hospital, the number of Covid patients continues to increase, with 23,889 patients (against 23,371 the day before), including 2,806 new admissions.
3,985 patients were hospitalized in critical care departments, reserved for the most serious cases (against 3,969 the day before).
Deaths
In 24 hours, 249 people succumbed to Covid-19 in hospital, bringing the total death toll to 126,305 since the start of the epidemic.
The vaccination
53.4 million people have received at least one injection (79.2% of the total population) and over 52 million are fully vaccinated (77.3% of the population).
