Frame
With a Full format, the K100 AIR Wireless has a full range of keys and features possible on a keyboard, reducing interactions to offer shortcuts on the fly.
Design
For once, we are facing an atypical device. Although low-profile keyboards are becoming popular, the K100 AIR Wireless is the first to appear in ultra-low profile. The keyboard is thus torn between large size and reduced thickness. If this combination may seem incompatible, it gives off a feeling of comfort and mobility without forgetting the essential: a complete set of functionalities ranging from the numeric keypad to the macro keys.
The front frame is made of brushed aluminum and equipped with switches CHERRY MX Ultra Low Profile Tactile. It’s a real innovation to see this type of switch being offered on a gaming keyboard in Full format. It must be said that the rendering is similar to typing on a laptop computer, which will not be to everyone’s taste.
Note, however, that this configuration prevents the replacement of the switches and makes the covers difficult to remove without risking destroy the underlying mechanism. This point is important to emphasize, because the slightest keyboard defect makes it impossible to correct the problem. which can quickly become expensive for a keyboard around 300 €.
Finally, the back of the keyboard benefits from PTFE non-slip pads as well as a central design that does not lack charm. The keyboard has three different inclinationswhich is fairly standard.
RGB
Like the entire Corsair range, the RGB spirit is present while having a fairly impressive customization capacity. The backlight is also suitable for both daytime and nighttime activity since it gives us a present light rendering, without being aggressive. It is possible to edit and save up to 20 usable profiles wirelessly, directly from the ICUE software.
Performance

This is the point of curiosity of the keyboard. Whether or not you are a fan of low-profile switcheswe can only advise you to try them on in the store. In use, the feeling is the same as typing on a laptop with a frank and fast stroke while a soft rebound allows you to easily feed your writings. In any case, during the first uses, it is highly possible to press and activate keys inadvertently, as the keyboard is reactive. If this could seem like a problem, it is not because with regular application your fingers end up getting used to it.
What is even more impressive is the versatility of these switches. Go from game to work without any worries and always keeping comfort and precision. Bonus, its very flat profile and without wrist rest becomes pleasant, even in the long term, since it comes a little less to break the wrist. Note, finally, that the manufacturer has integrated all the most advanced technologies within its keyboard in order to provide the user with unequaled technical sumptuousness.
Features
The format of the keyboard comes to break the codes of the moment offering ever more compact peripherals. Furthermore, the K100 is initially an imposing product both in terms of its weight and its size. Here, Corsair succeeds in the feat of offering a more efficient keyboard, although a little more expensive from the top of its 300 €, which targets a less occasional population. (count 250€ for the classic K100)
It is thus possible to find on the keyboard a dedicated multimedia area with four buttons and a notched wheel, dedicated to sound management, on the upper right part of the keyboard. On the exact opposite, we find three management buttons brightness and keyboard lock. In the center, a semblance of a touch screen (which is not) presents the Corsair logo as well as all the information you may need like game mode activated, battery level, numbers activated, etc.
The format obliges, the numeric keypad is present on the right part of the keyboard and even accommodates, just above, the macro keys configurable from the software EUCI. For the most curious, you will also have noticed that they are used to manage wireless connections SLIPSTREAM and Bluetooth. Furthermore, it is possible to configure up to three different devices via this last connection mode. The keyboard thus offers a wide range of action possibilities, whether for personal peripherals or consoles and PCs. Note that it is advisable to use the Bluetooth option to rather office activitiesin question: the possible latencies.
Software
In order not to change habits, it’s the software EUCI which accompanies the K100 AIR Wireless as well as the entire ecosystem Corsair. The constructor gives the possibility of modifying the macros, the backlighting, the responses, changing the shortcuts as well as many other points that the screens to follow will explain more succinctly than we do. Getting started is easy while the panel is intuitive and responsive.
Note however that Corsair does not lace and offers an eclectic and complete set of keyboard customization. Here it’s not about simple macros, the product goes even further with language, text or even media management integrations to such an extent that we almost wonder what it is not possible to do with this keyboard.
Autonomy
the K100 AIR Wireless embeds a battery of the most impressive and certainly ahead of its competitors. advertised with a minimum of 50 hours depending on the backlight level and 200 hours without, we almost forget that it needs to be recharged. In daily use, with an average RGB profile, for gaming and office automation, it lasted a little over a week before the battery logo turned red. The latter changes color according to the level of charge of the keyboard.
Finally, to save even more battery, the K100 AIR Wireless enters and exits standby quickly and without latency.
