Corsair completes its offer gaming with the launch of a new keyboard, the K55 Core. Announced as the ally of gamers by the brand, it succeeds the K55 RGB which stood out for its quality/price ratio during our test. Can this keyboard, described as thin and modern, do better than its predecessor at this level?

The K55 Core, simple and effective

Corsair’s K55 Core has membrane keys, obviously less fast than mechanical switches, but which should be sufficient for a good number of players. Their advantage, however, lies in their perfectly silent operation. The dedicated multimedia buttons on the top of the keyboard allow you to manage volume and music on the fly, always nice features. Aware that the gamers often play with a drink within reach, the keyboard is resistant to liquid splashes of up to 300 ml.

In terms of brightness, the K55 CORE keyboard offers ten RGB lighting zones adjustable via a simple key. The Corsair iCUE software allows you to personalize these lighting effects, program macros, remap the keys or synchronize the light with the entire setup. The 12-key rollover allows total transmission of actions without keyboard interpretation errors, and its polling rate of 1000 Hz is fast, within the norm of what is currently done. You will of course have to take the Corsair K55 Core in hand to check if the keyboard keeps all its promises.
