Almost 20 years after the release of their strategy and piracy game, Microids announces a reboot of Corsairs: Battle for the Caribbean. Scheduled for 2024, it will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
real-time strategy game, Corsairs: The Battle of the Caribbean takes players into a world of piracy where they can embody a corsair in the service of England, France or Holland. In search of fame but also of wealth, it will be necessary to build a powerful fleet to overcome enemy ships. In addition to sailing the seas of the Caribbean, players will be able to explore the islands of the West Indies to unearth new crew members but above all to get their hands on hidden treasures.
The reboot will bring its share of novelties, among which we will be able to discover the new trade mechanics which will require players to manage their fleet to negotiate and defend their trade positions. A new Boarding mode will also make its arrival with several classes of soldiers.
