Corsair’s TBT200 USB-C dock with 2.5G port and UHS-II reader is all about Thunderbolt 4

Corsair has just unveiled a new version of its Thunderbolt docking station. The TBT200 is now compatible with Thunderbolt 4, and abandons the two HDMI ports of the previous version to switch entirely to Thunderbolt. In fact, Corsair provides a USB-C to HDMI cable and a USB-C to Display port cable capable of displaying a maximum 4K definition at 60 Hz on two screens.

On the front, we find: a UHS-II standard SD card reader (312 MB/s), a combo jack, a USB port (10 Gb/s), a USB-C port (10 Gb/s), s), the Thunderbolt port that connects to your laptop supporting 96W charging, and a power switch. The rear panel is equipped with three Thunderbolt ports, an RJ45 multigig port (2.5G), two USB ports (10 Gb/s) and a Kensington-type security port.

Corsair’s TBT200 docking station retains its slender shape with a length of 22.8 x 8 cm and a thickness of 2.5 cm and its aluminum casing. A 150 Watt charger powers the station and the connected laptop PC.

Corsair takes advantage of the release of the TBT200 to upgrade the TBT100 docking station to Thunderbolt 3, which becomes the TBT100 DP for the occasion. Two DisplayPort ports replace the HDMI ports, while the 2.5G RJ45 port gives way to a Gigabit standard RJ45 port.

Corsair’s TBT100 DP and TBT200 docking stations are starting to be available for €329 and €349 respectively.
