Corsets and bodices have been an integral part of women’s fashion since the mid-16th century. Thanks to “Bridgerton”, the corset has been celebrating a brilliant comeback for a few months – and the trend is not ending. A look at shows the current fashion favorites on TikTok: Especially in summer, corset tops are an absolute must-have in the wardrobe. What is the best way to style the trend piece?
Casual with jeans
Opposites attract: For a casual, everyday look, style the corset top with jeans or wide trousers. Model Elsa Hosk (33) combines her yellow floral corset top for example with baggy jeans that sit loosely on the hips and thus creates a contrast between the narrow-waisted, body-hugging top and casual jeans.
Over white shirt or dresses
The corset is a real eye-catcher when worn over a plain white shirt, T-shirt or dress. The tight-fitting corset gives every basic part an exciting touch and brings more shape to the look.
