Costa Rica – 25-year-old Swiss man dies in a serious car accident


Tragedy in the tourist paradise of Costa Rica: On Friday a small group – two Americans, a Swiss, three other tourists and their Costa Rican drivers set off for Guanacaste in the west of the country on the Pacific coast. But the group did not reach their destination, as it is said according to media reports.

The minibus with the tourists on board is said to have collided with a truck loaded with sugar sacks during an overtaking maneuver. Both cars ended up in the ditch. For a 25-year-old Swiss, any help came too late, he died on site, as reported by Crhoy.com. A 45-year-old American woman also died immediately. The second American, a 49-year-old woman, later succumbed to her injuries in hospital. The fourth victim is the 60-year-old driver of the minivan.

Three other tourists, whose nationality was not mentioned, were seriously injured and taken to a hospital. Their condition is critical.
