Could it be the Pixel 7a? A Google smartphone is in the starting blocks

This new Google Pixel would have the potential to become a best-seller if the rumors turn out to be true.

After the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, Google would work on a mid-range smartphone. It is assumed to be the Pixel 7a, a developer (Kuba Wojciechowski) has thus provided what would be its characteristics.

His code name: Pixel Lynx

This smartphone exists, since a Pixel Lynx (L10), its code name, appears in the source code of the latest version of the Google Camera app.

According to the first indiscretions, this Pixel 7a would be equipped with a Samsung OLED screen, with a Full HD definition and a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. On the photo side, we are talking about a Sony IMX787 (64 megapixels) and a Sony IMX712 camera sensor (probably 13 megapixels). Previously, there was talk of a 1/1.3-inch, 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 main sensor. However, the latter is no longer mentioned.

As previously indicated, the Google Tensor G2 would indeed be present under the hood. There is still a lot of speculation around this smartphone, including the price. We expect a competitive price, under 500 euros. In any case, it seems logical given the displayed prices of the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.
