After their semester in Australia, Count Nikolai and his girlfriend Benedikte Thoustrup are currently traveling to New Zealand. The two also spent Christmas here – and Christmas Eve had a pretty scary experience for the Dane.
For Count Nikolai, 24, and his girlfriend Benedikte Thoustrup must have had a very special Christmas this year. Because they didn’t spend it with their families, rather the couple decided to extend their stay abroad and are currently traveling to New Zealand. Contemplative and romantic on Christmas Eve? That wasn’t the case with Benedikte!
Count Nikolai’s girlfriend throws herself into the depths
The study period actually ended on November 30th, but the couple decided to stay to get to know the country and travel around. In New Zealand, the student took a particularly nerve-wracking leap. She plunged into the depths – an impressive 134 meters. Benedikte actually did a bungee jump – from the highest opportunity in New Zealand. She shows impressions of her jump on Instagram.
“The scariest Christmas experience I’ve ever had,” writes the Count’s girlfriend on the video. She doesn’t seem afraid just before the jump, she even puts her fingers to her forehead, salutes and then jumps. Afterwards she is visibly relieved, gives the instructor a high five and is beaming from ear to ear.
She underlines her video with a song called “Dream on”. Benedikte seems to have fulfilled a dream with the 134 meter jump!
