Counter-Strike 2: Jump-Throw explained – This is how you can consistently execute perfect jump throws

COUNTER STRIKE 2

In Counter-Strike 2 you have the option to use jump throws. However, to perform these consistently every round, a jump throw bind could be useful.

  • In Counter-Strike 2 you can create a jump throw bind.
  • To do this you have to create a new file in the game files.
  • Apparently you can also perform perfect grenade throws without a jump-throw bind.

In Counter-Strike 2, Valve has modified, among other things, the behavior of the grenades. For example, smoke grenades in the upcoming shooter are dynamic objects that can interact with the environment.

To get the most out of the grenades, you’ll want to master the jump-throw mechanics. By the way, players are already using this technology in the previous title Counter-Strike Global Offensive.

Jump-Throw – Origin and Explanation

A jump throw is, as the name suggests, throwing a grenade while jumping. In CS:GO, players use this technique to perform constant grenade throws every round.

You can also use jump throws in Counter-Strike 2. However, the jump throw binds programmed in CS:GO are not compatible in the new game. Dexerto has already put together a step-by-step guide for you so that you can set it up for Counter-Strike 2.

  • Locate the CS:GO folder in your game files. You can usually find this under the following path: \steamappscommonCounter-Strike Global Offensivegamecsgocfg.
  • Copies any configuration file from the same folder and names it Jumpthrow.
  • Delete any text in this file and insert the following instead: +jump -attack -attack -jump.
  • Save the file and open the console in Counter-Strike 2.
  • If you now want to use the jump throw on the X key, for example, you have to enter the following command into the console: bind x “exec jumpthrow”.

Need for a jump throw bind

Although you can perform jump-throws perfectly using the steps shown above, there appears to be no need for it anymore. As Valve announced at the start of the beta phase in March, the development team is said to have modified the jump system so that jump throws are also possible without special key combinations.

We will of course keep you updated as soon as there are any further changes. In the meantime, we’re offering you a look at the ranking system for the new Premier Mode as well as the map-specific ranks for Competitive Mode.
